  • Anti-bacterial rinses: During the early stages of gum disease, Dr. Silverman may recommend antibacterial rinses to reverse gum disease. Antibacterial rises may need to be performed multiple times for effective results.
  • Scaling and root planing: Scaling and root planing is a deep cleaning of the teeth and gums, which removes harmful plaque and tartar from below and above the gumline. Scaling and root planing may need to be performed multiple times for results.
  • Laser dentistry: Lasers are used to gently remove damaged gum tissue. Lasers are used to treat gum disease and reduce downtime, swelling, and bleeding.
